In this video, I’ll be showing an easy way to create your own kick samples. Do subscribe for more videos like this and ring the bell to keep up to date with our notifications and deals.
For this method, we’re going to need 3 existing kick samples, and then we’re going to chop them up and create our own franken-kick.
We’ll use the initial hit from one of them, a body from a second kick and a tail from a third.
With the 3 different kicks loaded into our DAW on 3 separate tracks, let’s zoom in to each sample and start editing, chopping out the parts of the sound that we need.
Then we’ll want to add small fades to the samples to prevent clicking.
Now let’s sync up the different elements so that they flow into one another.
Finally, we can play with the gain and tuning of each element to create a different feel.
Then bounce these tracks down to a single file, and we have a brand new kick, frankenstein-style.
