Don’t tour. Gigging takes way too much time, eats tons of cash and is not scalable. Play local gigs if you want experience, but don’t go on tour until you’re already well established.

Don’t pay to get onto Spotify playlists. The decent playlists are almost impossible to crack, and the many playlists that will accept your music have an audience comprised of bots.

Don’t target music blogs. With declining readership and most blogs now asking for a fee, this isn’t good use of your time or marketing budget.

So what gets the most bang for your buck? You should create fun, catchy and snappy social media ads, paying for targeted audiences who enjoy your style of music.
