Rhino by Aurora DSP is a complete guitar amp and effects plugin that puts a full rig in one window. Seven signal-chain sections run from the input gate to the output limiter, so you can build anything from glassy cleans and edge-of-breakup crunch to tight modern high gain without stacking a dozen plugins. It runs inside your DAW or as a standalone app, and installs in under 140 MB.
Rhino gives you six preamp and drive models covering clean articulation through to modern high-gain tones. In front of them sit four tone-shaping options, Scream, Brute, Fuzz and Push, so you can tighten the low end for chugging rhythm parts, add a classic overdriven push for leads, or fuzz things up for thick, saturated textures.
A built-in 4-band EQ shapes the core tone, and Tone Matching with three target contours steers your sound toward a reference voicing in seconds. A power amp stage with three characters then sets how the amp breathes and compresses as you dig in.
The cabinet section blends four impulse responses on an XY mixer, so finding the right mic and speaker mix is a drag of the mouse. Rhino ships with 16 factory IRs: 12 from Aurora DSP and 4 signature IRs from producer Jens Bogren. You can load your own third-party IRs too, then export the finished cabinet blend to use anywhere.
Flanger, chorus and phaser cover modulation, while the time section offers an echo, three delay styles, a classic reverb and a convolution reverb. An output section with low-end control, limiting and final level control keeps the result tight and mix-ready, and the integrated tuner means you never leave the plugin to get in tune.
Start from artist presets by Scott Elliott, Taylor Danley and others, then use State Recall to restore a full sound or just one section, so you can swap a cab or a drive without losing the rest of your tone.
