Matra by Karanyi Sounds

Infusing your tracks with analog warmth, spatial depth, and rhythmic motion is straightforward with Matra by Karanyi Sounds. Inspired by the echo-rich landscapes of Hungary's Matra Mountains, this resonant delay plugin brings character and movement to flat synth leads, dry vocals, and rigid drum loops. Beyond standard echo processing, it features a dual delay engine paired with creative sound shaping tools that turn simple melodies into immersive sonic textures. Matra offers a complete delay workstation designed to make your mixes stand out without complicated routing.

Dual Delay Engine and Innovative Wash Control

At the center of Matra is a robust dual delay DSP architecture built to deliver rich, inspiring echoes with professional clarity. The plugin introduces a unique delay-on-delay concept featuring a dedicated Wash control, allowing you to seamlessly blend reverb and granular textures directly into your delay trails. Whether you want subtle atmospheric tail diffusion or chaotic, evolving soundscapes, this architecture gives you precise control over space and sustain.

Analog Character and Creative Modulation Tools

Matra goes beyond traditional echo effects by integrating a complete suite of sound-shaping modules designed to add vintage flavor and dynamic motion. You get dual resonant filters equipped with an LFO, dual distortion units for rich saturation or heavy drive, a tape-style wow and flutter effect, stereo imaging controls, and a tone EQ. For spontaneous inspiration during a session, the Smart Random button generates curated parameter combinations instantly.
