What is HALO? What makes it the best Hybrid synth VST?

HALO is a hybrid VST synth. It has a Romplur, Sampler, and Subtractive synth engine. HALO can combine these sound engines to producer some of the most amazing sounds. Although there are other similar concept VST synths in the market like HALO; for example Genesis, they have limited features in terms of how much you can edit the sound.

The entire design of HALO is different compared to normal Romplur and Subtractive synth. For example, in HALO, you can use High pass, Notch, and Low Pass Filters at the same time. Furthermore, each filter option has individual Q factor. The filter type is analog, creating a much smoother and natural filter.

HALO comes prepacked with many high quality sound presets, samples and LFO and Distortion shapes. With the help of the sound design assets, you can easily design the most complex sounds in matter of minutes.

Sound Generator

The sound generation in HALO is achieved with the help of 3 units – Sub, Synth, and Sampler

While the Synth unit has 2 analog-inspired oscillators, the Sub feature adds Sub harmonics to the sound. What makes HALO unique, however, is the ability to blend audio samples with the Oscillators. You can either use the pre-installed samples or use your own audio files for the sampler.

Dedicated Filter

Another unique feature of HALO is its unique filter. Unlike other synth plugins where you can only choose one filter type at a time, HALO has 3 main filter types working at the same time. HALO filter has Low Pass, Notch, and Band Pass filters; each with its own Q, LFO Modulator, and modifier. HALO has a Post filter as well.
