Checking Out Analog Lab Pro & Beats Explorations by Arturia!
In this video, Matt goes into some of the features of Analog Lab Pro and the Beats Explorations bundle.
He demonstrates how simple it is to get an idea going and walks us through some of the sounds as well as his workflow for putting together a beat.
What's Inside Analog Lab Pro?
Analog Lab Pro comes with a lot and packs a serious punch. You’re definitely getting more than your money’s worth here.
1. 2,000+ Presets (Sounds)
All from V Collection instruments, offering a wide range of musical possibilities. Quickly find the sound you need by filtering through categories like type (e.g., Bass, Drums, Leads, Pads), mood (e.g., bright, dark), or genre (e.g., Ambient, Lofi, Disco, Hip-Hop Techno).
2. Ease of FX Usage
Easily add effects and layer two different sounds (Multis) to create complex textures. This helps in creating unique sounds.
3. Keyboard Splits
Blend and split sounds with ease, allowing for creative combinations and keyboard splits. Comes in handy when you need more dynamic performances.
4. MIDI Mapping
Map Analog Lab Pro’s parameters to any MIDI controller, customizing your setup to your preference.
There is also Auto Mapping for all Arturia Keyboards.
5. Preset Editing
All presets have dedicated macro controls allocated to them for simple tweaking; reverb, delay, filtering (just an example).
If you have V Collection, you can go past the Macro editing and dive deep into Pigments, Jup-8 V or whatever synth/instruments was used to create the preset.

What Is Beats Explorations?
This expansion pack is great for music producers looking for new sounds that not everyone has, and that aren’t your typical go-to cliché sounds.
What you’re getting
1. Modern Trap Inspiration
Draws heavily from contemporary trap music and atmosphere like soundscapes, both innovative and futuristic sounding.
3. Lo-Fi Aesthetics
Emphasizes lo-fi textures, making it ideal for creating beats with a soulful and nostalgic feel.
4. Bit-Crushed Textures
This adds a nice gritty, textured layer to your music. Some are crunchy, others are deep and detailed.
It features nice 808s, pads, leads, etc, and very rich sounding, with just the right macros for you to adjust the sound textures without needing to dig too far into the parameters.
Yes, typical name categories, but the sounds are different!
And the timing is right, as it comes free with your purchase of Analog Lab Pro.
System Requirements for Analog Lab Pro
As with any system requirements, these are the bare minimum. The more resources you have available the better. That being said, if you start running into resource issues, simply bounce midi to audio.
Arturia is pretty good when it comes to resources, but some of their plugins, like Pigments, do require some extra muscle.

Conclusion: Is Analog Lab Pro Worth It?
Honestly, it’s hard to fully express just how useful Analog Lab Pro is, not only for its ease of use but also for its sound quality. The sounds are very high quality and flexible, especially if music production and composition are your passions.
Coming from a hardware based background, where I had to carry or cycle through different workstations for sounds, was a hassle.
When I’m creating music, I prefer to get straight into making music without being bothered by fiddling around with settings.
Analog Lab Pro offers the perfect set of stock sounds that are ready to go and finding inspiration without getting lost in a tweaker’s world.
However, if Tweaking settings is your thing, it’s simple to do with the macros and if you own the collection you can dive in even further and tweak the exact synth down to the detail so there’s that option too for anyone who likes sound design.
I wish I had more hands to give Analog Lab Pro more thumbs up.
