You won’t need Kontakt to use this Cinematic Guitar Sample Library. SampleLogic is changing their approach and we love it! Kontakt is an amazing sampler, but things can get quite expensive when you add the price of the sampler on top of the sampler library.
That being said, I’m glad SampleLogic came through with their own sampler!
What Is Cinematic Guitars Ultra?
Unlike traditional guitar libraries, Cinematic Guitars Ultra transforms guitar sounds into diverse soundscapes. The library combines sampled guitar tones with unique performance techniques to create versatile, playable, and usable sounds.
Cinematic Guitars is designed with composers and producers in mind. It allows them to access sounds with cinematic textures directly within the sample library, eliminating the need for external VST plugins or processing effects.
This makes the library especially helpful for those writing scores for visual media such as TV and film.

He highlights the library’s versatility and the power of the new engine, showing how it can be used to create complex, layered soundscapes.
Cinematic Guitars Ultra Engine
The best thing about SampleLogic’s engine, and this is a rolling theme with all of their sample libraries, is its functionality. The functionality makes creating and blending sounds ridiculously simple.
4 Core Engine: The engine is split into 4 cores, each capable of loading and blending different sounds.
XY Axis Control: The XY axis control blends sounds dynamically and with automation creates evolving textures and movements within your compositions.
Browser: The browser is tagged with metadata, making it easy to find and load presets. Categories range from traditional guitar sounds like plucked and acoustic to more experimental tones such as bowed playing styles and synth-based sounds.
Modulation: LFO modulators, dual arpeggiators, and a chord player, all can be applied to designated targets around the instrument. This helps make your sounds expressive and unique.
