Let’s begin with this simple synth line. It’s sounding ok, but not especially wide.

Duplicate the synth track and change the waveforms to similar ones, but not exactly the same, for example changing pulse width or swapping out one wavetable for another. Then pan these two tracks hard left and hard right. You may need to adjust the levels to keep the balance.
The result is a synth sound that’s very wide and juicy.
This trick also works with other instruments too, for example, choosing two slightly different piano tones, or recording two takes of a vocal or guitar and panning them left and right.
