MICHAELA'S HARP

Michaela’s Harp is a beautifully sampled Celtic harp virtual instrument. It features three microphone positions, multiple velocity layers, damped and stopped samples, and playable triplets.

The LibreWave team recorded a modern Celtic harp with a warm tone and a built in pick-up. This allowed us to create a direct input recording in addition to two stereo microphone positions. Michaela’s Harp was built with HISE and runs as an independent VSTi/AU plugin without the need of an extra player application. The library was recorded in a studio rather than a large hall so the samples aren’t particularly wet which will help you to blend and layer them with your other instruments.

The instrument includes normal plucked samples recorded at four dynamic levels. This is the default articulation and has that quintessential warm resonant sound that is unique to the Celtic harp. For occasions when it’s desirable to have a little less resonance We also recorded a separate set of damped string samples.

The library includes a dedicated preset browser from which you can select different factory configurations or create your own personal presets.

 

MODERN BODHRAN

Modern Bodhrán is a traditional Celtic percussion library featuring four unique drums. These instruments have been hand built by master craftsmen and the samples were performed by the beautifully talented Marissa Waite in Scotland.

The bodhrán is capable of producing a wide array of tones based on the musician's hand position within the instrument. Despite the complex nature of playing a real bodhrán this library makes it easy for anyone with a keyboard to play like an expert. By providing five different performance presets we've made the library incredibly flexible. You can choose the preset that suits your performance style to quickly integrate the library into your workflow.

We recorded five unique tones for each drum, they were all played with three different sticks, recorded at three dynamics, with five microphones, and we included individual up and down strokes, with 6 repetitions for each. This gives you a total of 36 recorded variations per tone.

In addition to the library and its 13300 samples, you'll also receive 22 MIDI loops to give you a starting point for your own creations. The loops were created from notation provided by Marissa and as a bonus you will also receive that handwritten notation and a video guide showing how to use the loops and read the notation.

 

EMERALD FLUTE

The samples for Emerald Flute were recorded in a small studio to produce a dry, non-reverberant, sound. This makes it easier to incorporate the instrument into a virtual mix alongside other sample libraries.

The instrument includes a special “performance” articulation that interprets your playing to generate realistic legato transitions, trills, attacks, ornaments, and glides.

The Irish flute is a type of transverse flute. It is often played in traditional Irish music ensembles along with other instruments such as the bodhrán, guitar, and fiddle. It has a unique and distinctive sound that is characterized by its bright and clear tone

The history of the Irish flute can be traced back to the 19th century. It was initially played as an alternative to the tin whistle, which was and still is a popular instrument among Irish musicians.
