Lush-2 by d16 Group: a multilayer polyphonic synthesizer
Most synths give you one voice architecture and leave the layering to your DAW. Lush-2 puts up to eight full synthesizers in one plugin. Each layer is an independent synth with its own polyphony, parameters, arpeggiator and insert effects. Stack layers on one MIDI channel for huge composite patches, split them across keyboard zones for live sets, or give each layer its own channel and drive eight parts from one instance. With up to 11 audio outputs, you can still mix each layer separately in your DAW.
Alias-free oscillators and a filter that behaves
d16 built Lush-2's oscillators on its own algorithms rather than samples, so they keep a warm analog character without the aliasing that makes digital synths sound brittle up high. The filter keeps its resonance even across the whole frequency range, tracks the keyboard, and self-oscillates at full resonance when you want it to scream.
An arpeggiator on every layer
Each of the eight layers has its own arpeggiator with its own presets. Run a different pattern on every layer and they interlock into rhythms you would never program by hand. The arp's gate and tie also work as modulation sources, so a pattern can open a filter or swell an effect in time with the notes.
A mixer and effects rack built in
Every layer gets two insert effects, each with 8 algorithms, and its own channel strip with parametric EQ and a compressor. Three send effects sit on top: reverb, tempo-synced delay and d16's double-line chorus. You can finish a sound inside the plugin without reaching for a single extra effect.
Modulation matrix
Route almost any source to almost any parameter on any layer. Velocity curves let the same patch go from soft to biting as you dig in, which is what makes Lush-2 work well for live playing as well as programming.

The factory library covers pads, leads, basses, plucks, arps and slowly evolving soundscapes, across electronic, pop, film and ambient styles. Start from a preset and change one layer, or build from scratch.
