At its core, Rendition functions as your MIDI brain, allowing you to split your keyboard into up to four customizable zones: Chord, Arpeggiator, Modifier, and Normal. Each section can be assigned a distinct behavior. For example, one range might play chords in a specific scale, while another triggers modifiers such as “Spread” or “Power Chord”. Further up the keyboard, you could be arpeggiating live notes with swing and human feel, or letting keys remain in their original, unmodified state.
Rendition is packed with deeply musical options, including a rich selection of chord voicings, velocity humanization, and diverse arpeggio patterns. The Scale-aware Chord mode allows you to select from over 28 scales, ranging from Ionian and Dorian to Harmonic Minor, Pentatonic, and Raga Bhairav, for precise chord generation. You'll find extensive chord modifiers, such as inversions, octave spreads, voicing tweaks, power chords, and suspended and extended chords. Chord playback offers options like Hold, Relatch, Momentary, Polyphonic, or Monophonic. The Arpeggiator features include latch, hold, MIDI thru, swing, humanized velocity and note length, and 21 pattern shapes. Notably, Arpeggiator and Chord modes can be combined for even more complex arrangements.
