Terminal – Distortion Feedback Engine by Terminal VST

Original price was: $46.00.Current price is: $18.40.

SIX DISTORTION CIRCUITS. ONE FEEDBACK ENGINE. 60% OFF

Terminal is the debut plugin from Patrik Skoog, a mixing and mastering engineer with techno label credits. It treats distortion as an instrument, not a finishing touch.

Six circuit models cover tanh saturation, breathing germanium, wavefolding, and two LED clipping voices. Sweep a peak EQ before or after the distortion, push the feedback path into self-oscillation, and widen with mono-safe SSB frequency shifting. A real-time oscilloscope shows every bit of damage.

Big sound, small footprint, and no iLok. Grab Terminal today for $18.40, down from $46, a full 60% off.

Available as VST3 and AU plugins for macOS and Windows, Apple Silicon and Intel. One-time online activation, no iLok, up to three machines.

OVERVIEW

TERMINAL TREATS DISTORTION AS A PLAYABLE SOUND DESIGN INSTRUMENT
Terminal VST Terminal Website Box Shot

Most saturation plugins treat distortion as a static, corrective insert placed at the end of a signal chain to add subtle warmth. Terminal - Distortion Feedback Engine by Terminal VST approaches sound design from an entirely different angle, treating distortion as a dynamic, playable instrument built to reshape your raw audio. Developed by seasoned mixing and mastering engineer Patrik Skoog, Terminal combines analog-modeled clipping stages, resonant feedback paths, and stereo manipulation to produce everything from subtle harmonic grit to screaming industrial textures.

Six Distinct Circuit Models and Surgical Pre-Post Equalization

Terminal houses six distinct analog circuit models, giving you a diverse tonal palette that includes smooth hyperbolic tangent (tanh) tape-style saturation, organic breathing germanium diodes, aggressive wavefolding, and two responsive LED hard-clipping voices. To shape how these circuits react to your source material, the plugin features a sweepable peak EQ that can be routed before or after the distortion stage. Placing the EQ pre-distortion lets you push specific frequencies into saturation for focused tonal grit, while post-EQ placement allows you to tame harsh overtones and sculpt the final frequency response with surgical accuracy.
Self-Oscillating Feedback and Mono-Safe Stereo Widening
Beyond traditional drive stages, Terminal features an internal feedback loop capable of being pushed into wild, self-oscillating resonance for generative noise beds, screaming synthesizer leads, and evolving drone textures. To give your sounds expansive spatial presence without sacrificing low-end impact, the engine integrates mono-safe Single Sideband (SSB) frequency shifting. This advanced stereo manipulation widens synth lines, bass patches, and drum buses across the stereo field while remaining completely phase-coherent and mono-compatible. An onboard real-time oscilloscope provides immediate visual feedback, showing precisely how the waveform changes as you dial in feedback and drive.
Modern Native Performance with Hassle-Free Licensing
Built with an efficient DSP engine and a low system footprint, Terminal runs smoothly across dense mix sessions without bogging down your CPU. The plugin operates natively as 64-bit VST3 and Audio Units (AU) on both macOS and Windows, offering full compatibility with Apple Silicon and Intel processors. With a simple one-time online activation process that covers up to three machines and completely bypasses the need for iLok dongles or invasive background managers, Terminal integrates effortlessly into any modern production workflow.
