Transport your productions back in time to the golden age of 1960s Detroit soul and Memphis R&B with The Commodore, an authentic rhythm guitar sample library for Native Instruments’ Kontakt. This library meticulously captures the classic sound of that era, while also being perfectly suited for modern genres such as Pop, R&B, and Nu-Disco.

The Commodore features a deep-sampled vintage Fender Telecaster, recorded direct through a restored Altec tube mixer to achieve that unmistakable Motor City DI guitar tone. The content combines the ease and inspiration of loop-based production with the flexibility and control of a full Kontakt library, allowing you to whip up authentic sounding soul and R&B in no time.

This inspiring library includes five distinct Kontakt instrument files (.nki files):

• Melodic: Designed for creating driving riffs and soulful melodies. It offers 17 style-specific articulations, including sustain, staccato, palm-muted, two legato modes, grace notes (m2nd, M2nd), trills (m2nd, M2nd, m3rd), bends (down m2nd, up m2nd, up M2nd), and falls/rises (short, long).
• Chords (playable): Produce unique rhythm guitar parts with a near-encyclopedic selection of quintessential chord voicings and articulations specific to vintage soul. Includes 11 different chord types/inversions, chromatically sampled in all keys, with 10 different articulations/note lengths such as short/medium downstrokes and upstrokes, fat, long, rake, scoop, fall, muted downstroke/upstroke, transition noises, and unpitched slides. This patch contains over 4000 chord samples in total.
• Octaves (playable): Kick up the energy with this patch dedicated to creating custom high-register octave strumming patterns. It contains 8 different articulations, including long downstroke/upstroke, short downstroke/upstroke, ghost note downstroke/upstroke, and falls/rises (short, long).
• Chord Loops: Provides a menu of more than 800 tempo-syncable rhythm guitar patterns accessible through a custom loop browser/player. Includes everything from basic backbeats to inspiring rhythmic grooves and turnarounds. All loops were recorded at 96khz for high-quality tempo matching and are available in all twelve keys and six chord types/inversions.
• Octave Loops: A menu of quintessential upper-register octave strumming patterns, including repeated quarter-notes, turnarounds, and high-energy grooves.
