Kontakt instruments often have lots of effects built into the interfaces themselves, but what many people don’t know is that there are a whole bunch of presets hidden away in the edit menu.
Let’s take this synth from the Kontakt factory library as an example. Click the little wrench icon to open up the editing menu. You’ll then be able to access all of the effects that the instrument has been designed to use – swap them out or load presets.
For instance, you can go into the Insert Effects panel and call up individual effect presets. Or choose a preset for the entire effects chain.
Kontakt 6 also contains a new Main Effects panel where you can load up individual effects, including some new ones that Native Instruments sells as standalone plugins. Select from a wide range of presets here too.
