Something we’ve been crying out for years is a scalable interface for Kontakt. With display monitors becoming bigger and higher resolution, the increasingly tiny Kontakt interface was starting to strain our eyes.
No more though, as with update 7.4 Kontakt finally allows you to zoom the interface. The option lives in the Workspace menu up in the toolbar and offers zoom levels from 75% to 200%.
Options for quality and performance are also available, but won’t affect you unless your computer is severely underpowered, or you’re running lots of Kontakt instances.
Something else exciting to mention… As of Kontakt 7.5 there are now 7 new audio effects: Bite, Dirt, Freak, Raum, Twin Delay, Vibrato/Chorus and Wow/Flutter. Some of these were previously only available as plugins in the $69 Crush Pack – so integration into Kontakt could be a real money-saver. You can access these new effects in the normal way, by adding them on an output channel, or delving into the edit panel of unlocked instruments.
So, how useful have you found these new Kontakt features and what else would you like to see in future updates? Let us know in the comments. For more tips and tricks don’t forget to subscribe and be sure to ring the bell to get notifications – thanks for reading.

Hi there
I have many of your VIs but am now upgrading to Mac M2 Silicon.
Currently, the apps are accessed through Kontakt’s ‘Quick Load’ facility.
So will my plugin purchases be compatible with the Silicon chip?
